Fort Dunree 5k Challenge A Massive Success!

30th March saw the inaugural Fort Dunree 5k Challenge organised by Seamus McDaid and Inishowen AC in memory of their late member Gerard Doyle. Fort Dunree was basking in glorious sunshine for the 350 brave competitors who completed this mammoth challenge, in turn raising much needed funds for the Donegal Hospice. Congratulations to the organisers and all who took part in the event.

Noel Cunningham Visits Fort Dunree

We were delighted recently when local celebrity Noel Cunningham popped in to visit Fort Dunree. He thoroughly enjoyed his brief visit and promises he will be back again. He is pictured here with Michelle from the Coffee Cup.

Tree Planting at Fort Dunree

On a bracing but bright and beautiful February day at Fort Dunree, an incredible team of volunteers from Wild Inishowen and Buncrana Tidy Towns were making their mark. In a Herculean effort, some 20 volunteers planted 350 trees in the course of the morning. This really was a magnificent effort by local people committed to making a difference to Inishowen and improving the environment through planting native tree species.
